“Garadagh Cement” OJSC sponsors the event of awarding the active parliamentarians of 2009 On January 15, 2010, the Union of Parliament Journalists organized the ceremony of awarding the active parliamentarians of 2009 at State Art Museum – the winners of the survey among the journalists, who are accredited at National Assembly of Azerbaijan Republic, were awarded. The awarding ceremony was sponsored by “Garadagh Cement” OJSC.
It is already 4th year in a row that, the Union of Parliament Journalists determines the active parliamentarians from National Assembly. For this purpose, a survey is being conducted every year among journalists, who are accredited at National Assembly, and winners are determined upon 4 nominations. This nominations are “Active parliamentarian in plenary discussions”, “Active parliamentarian in the protection of voters’ rights”, “Active parliamentarian in the representing Azerbaijan in international organizations” and “Active parliamentarian in legislation initiatives”.
Director of the Union of Parliament Journalists, Elshad Eyvazli, gave a speech at the event. E.Eyvazli thanked “Garadagh Cement” OJSC for regular cooperation with journalists and for supporting the projects, directed to the development of press. He called “Garadagh Cement" as one of the few companies in Azerbaijan, which seriously focus on Corporate Social Responsibility issues. He mentioned that, this company doesn’t only think about business, but also realizes projects for improving the social welfare of the local people.
